What if you could take trip around the world in a day? Better yet, what if you could try some great food from different countries at the same time? At Seaworld San Antonio you can! For a few weeks in the spring, you can take part in the Seven Seas Food Festival.
This year they had booths from nine different destinations! Over 60 choices of food and beverages to choose from! The kids were especially excited to attend this event.
You can buy selections individually or Seaworld offers a couple of ways to save yourself some money. You could buy lanyards with 10 or 15 punches. Pass members could get a discount off these lanyards, plus if you bought the 15 punch online, you’d also get an extra card with 3 additional punches and an acrylic Seven Seas wine cup.
The 15+3 punch card fell within our budget so we downloaded the menus and got to work deciding what we were going to order. We tend to do this for most places we go, even restaurants. One of the kids has a difficult time making a decision so knowing what we will be ordering before our visit saves us time in the long run.
It is interesting to hear the kids critique the dishes. Keep in mind that although many sound exotic, we have eaten other versions of quite a few of the offerings before. For example, we’ve had real huli huli chicken before. It’s very different from what Seaworld serves, although as a chicken dish theirs is very good. Also we make Spam fried rice at home all the time. Nothing beats Mama’s home cooking. Right? (They better say right.)
In this part of the journey, we’ll hit Brazil, Hawaii, Spain and Japan. If you want to see the full menus with prices, then check out the video. Some of the dishes were incredible, way above what you’d expect from a theme park. A couple slightly missed the mark. Most were very good.
These four booths were a great start to the day. We took some time to visit some of the animals and do a little shopping before continuing on to Part II.
