Did you know that San Antonio holds the largest FREE anime convention in Texas every year?
We had a chance to visit this year’s at the Wonderland of the Americas Mall. Panda had been to RTX in Austin last August but this was the first time for Spud and myself.
It was fun and interesting to see all the cosplayers! There were some amazing costumes there! The video gives you a glimpse of some of them.
The event was sponsored by San Japan and Ninetails. Ninetails has a shop in the mall but there were so many other vendors there too. Nearly every anime you can think of was represented. Spud was not feeling well so he and I did some baby shopping for my granddaughter-to-be to get away from the crowds. Panda did find some things that he wanted and he’ll show you his haul at the end of the video.
We also had lunch while we were there. They had some food trucks outside just for the event, as well as some of the coolest anime decorated cars. We decided to try some poke bowls from Pokeman Sushi Bowls. They were amazing! Great price, super fresh and no weird stuff in it!
Being from Hawaii, where poke originated, I’m used to only certain ingredients in my poke and I was not disappointed. Check out their website to see where they will be next and give them a try!
Go check out the video, it’s a lot of fun. If you enjoy it please like, subscribe and share! Where shall we go next?
